Sharp's new Freeview HD receivers

24 mars 2010

Sharp has announced a new range of Freeview HD receivers, including one recorder.

The recorder is the Sharp TU-T2HR32, a 320GB PVR expected to sell for £290 when it hits the shops in May. It features two DVB-T2 tuners, which will allow you to watch one channel while recording another at the same time, and includes support for 1080p HD content. It has a single HDMI socket and Ethernet port though this last will be for connecting it to “future internet-based services”, according to Sharp.

Lower down the range is the Sharp TU-T2 for £180, which should go on sale in April. It’s a Freeview HD receiver without the recording capability of its more expensive cousin.

Bottom of the line is the TU-T1UR Freeview+ box which includes USB recording. It has three USB ports on the front panel which allow you to play recordings back on a PC or second TV (if it has a USB socket). It’s due in May for £100.
