Panasonic unveiled its 3DTV line-up for 2010 at an event in Munich this week.
There will be two plasma TVs in the VT20 range, each of which use active shutter technology and promise a relatively wide viewing angle of 35 degrees. The 65in TX-P65VT20E is expected to sell for around £4,000 when it goes on sale in July while the 50in TX-P50VT20E should be £2,000 when it arrives in May.

Each of the models will come with two pairs of 3D active shutter glasses, powered by a small watch-type battery, and linked to the TV via infrared signal, which alternately open and close each eye at very high speed to create the stereoscopic effect. Additional pairs of glasses will cost £100 each.
Both VT20 models will also include all of Panasonic’s latest 2D tech, including 600Hz processing (you need a minimum of 200Hz for 3D apparently), a new NeoPDP panel, Infinite Black Pro, which offers a colour contrast of an impressive 5,000,000:1, plus Freeview and Freesat tuners and USB connections.
