LG has revealed what it’s calling the world’s first 3D 1080p single-lens projector at CES, the CF3D.
The projector promises a 7,000:1 contrast ratio, 2,500 ANSI lumens brightness rating, automatic picture calibration and of course HD upscaling of standard def discs.
It also runs TrueMotion 120Hz in standard 2D mode (this has so far only been used in hi-def tellies), but the 3D technology allows the signal to be split into two separate 60Hz signals from the CF3D’s dual engine.
Also on board are two HDMI 1.3 ports and a USB input alongside ISFccc.
Sounds good so far, but there’s no word yet on pricing or availability.
