LG Infinia LED TVs

LG unveiled its new Infinia range of LED HDTVs at CES 2010 including advanced internet connectivity and enhanced content options.

The range includes the company’s first 3D-capable TVs in the 47-55in LE9500 series which use LG’s new Full LED Slim and LED Plus technologies to promise top-notch picture quality along with ultra-slim depth.

The 55in LE9500 is just 23mm thick with a bezel width of 8.5mm, TruMotion 480Hz processing and its Full LED Slim technology improves picture quality with support for detailed localised dimming of up to 240 addressable segments, offering deeper blacks and more uniform picture quality. LED Plus technology on the LE7500 and LE5500 models offers a basic local dimming capability of up to 16 addressable segments.

All the Infinia TVs include LG’s NetCast web connectivity service, offering Skype voice and video calls over the internet, plus YouTube, Napster, movies on-demand through VUDU and Netflix and Yahoo! Widgets for news and finance services. It’s not yet clear however which of these services will be making it to the UK versions of the Infinia models.

Other models in the 41-strong range due later this year vary from from 19-60in sizes and include the LE7500, LE5500 and LE5400.
