Italian projector manufacturer SIM2 has announced a new reference DLP model for the UK. The C3X LUMIS can throw a full HD 1080p picture over 15ft and promises an extremely high contrast ratio of up to 35,000:1 and exceptional brightness of up to 3000 ANSI Lumens.
The compact projector uses three-chip DLP technology with the latest 0.95in 1080p DC4 DLP chipset from Texas Instruments and SIM2’s own redesigned ALPHAPATH light engine which includes a new die-cast aluminium body allowing a brighter lamp to be used. SIM2’s DynamicBlack technology is also on board along with a new user-adjustable iris and dimmable lamp for enhanced black levels.
