LG leverages LED

6 janvier 2010

LG Electronics has showcased a new range of TVs with LED technology, integrated Bluetooth and no external bezel.
The SL9000 (LED technology) and SL8000 (Super Slim LCD TV) lets users wirelessly stream images and music.
The SL900 is less than 3cm thick, making it ideal for wall-mounting, and the company says the unit has an anti-glare screen (1080P) which reduces distracting reflections and enhances the cinema-quality experience.

The TVs have four HDMI connections to hook up a range of devices such as games consoles, home cinema systems, and set-top boxes. All models are compatible with the latest file formats, which mean viewing of J-peg, MP3, and DivX HD (movies in HD), are a basic plug and play exercise via the USB 2.0 port.
LG says the new TVs score highly in terms of their environmental credentials. The SL9000 has five distinct energy saving modes and has a 40% power consumption saving when compared to similar-sized LCD TVs. All models feature the LG Intelligent Sensor II, which reduces energy consumption by analysing the light in the room and automatically optimises the TVs picture settings.
