Geneva GenevaSound S iPod dock

4 décembre 2009

The latest iPod dock/FM radio from Switzerland’s Geneva features ‘invisible’ touch-sensitive controls and a mini stand for additional clarity.

The GenevaSound System Model S’s touch controls are at the top, next to the iPod dock and cannot be seen until a hand comes near to them, when they light up to offer an iPod-style scroll wheel as well as play, pause and skip buttons. When your hand withdraws, the controls disappear back into the body of the speaker.

The cabinet contains two full-range 3in bass/mid drivers and a built-in Class D amplifier offering 2×15 watts of power. The company’s own ‘EmbracingSound’ technology promises an exceptionally broad stereo dispersion from the compact speaker, which measures 235×141×185mm.

The FM tuner has a digital display and six presets, plus there’s an extendable radio aerial and an alarm clock function. It can accommodate all the latest iPods, including the nano, Touch, mini and the iPhone, and it comes with an infrared remote control.

The GenevaSound System Model S is available now in white, black or red piano lacquer finish for £299.
