We’ve had iPod docks in all sorts of shapes and sizes, but the latest from Australian manufacturer Cygnett has got to be one of the oddest.
The Cygnett Unison i-TS looks like a floorstanding loudspeaker with an ipod/iPhone dock built into the top.
There is however, a bit more to it than that. It stands at 82cm high and incorporates a 2.1 speaker system into its tower-shaped frame, with a brace of 2.5in bass/mid drivers, plus a 5in subwoofer and a 0.8in tweeter pumping out 2×12 watts of power from the built-in Class D amplifier.
It also has an LED clock display with alarm functions and an AM/FM radio with automatic tuning, though sadly it doesn’t include DAB. It will support and charge all iPods including the iPhone, the shuffle and the nano, as well as other MP3 players via composite/S-video input and comes with a remote control.
The Cygnett Unison i-TS is available now for £200.
