Denon has revealed its latest high-end stereo SACD player and amplifier combo, the DCD-2010AE and PMA-2010AE.
The DCD-2010AE SACD player weighs in at a mammoth 14kg and is built on a triple-layer base for mechanical isolation. It incorporates Denon’s new direct-drive Advanced SVH Mechanism designed to have a low centre of gravity and an anti-vibration die-cast aluminium loader.

It uses an upgraded version of Denon’s AL32 digital signal processing as well as 32-bit/192kHz DACs, and it features both optical and electrical digital inputs as well as a USB socket with iPod Direct connection, allowing you to play your portable music player through the DACs.
The circuitry has been designed to incorporate as few signal paths as possible, and there are also separate power supplies for the analogue and digital sections to reduce any possible distortion.
The PMA-2010AE integrated amp offers 80 watts per channel and comes in a matching vibration-resistant chassis with ‘float-mounted’ power transformer. It uses Denon’s own UHC (Ultra High Current) MOS circuitry and signal paths are kept to a minimum. Denon’s Precision Signal Ground Circuit is also included and designed to help with signal purity.
The amplifier features seven inputs, including a phono section, and like the DCD-2010AE comes complete with its own remote control.
The Denon DCD-2010AE and PMA-2010AE are available now for £1,699 each.
