Onkyo has produced a second add-on for its Universal Port module, the UP-DT1 DAB+ tuner.
Onkyo’s Universal Port, which can be found on the company’s latest range of AV receivers, is designed to accommodate various upgrades and add-ons as Onkyo develops them, ensuring longer life for the main product.
The first Universal Port product was the £80 UP-A1 iPod dock, and the UP-DT1 brings DAB+ digital radio to the party, powered via the same cable, and using the same remote, as the receiver. It includes 40 station presets, is fully compliant with Band-III and L-Band DAB and DAB+, and comes with its own aerial.
Onkyo’s Universal Port will be included as standard on many of the company’s upcoming products, including CD micro systems.
The Onkyo UP-DT1 DAB+ tuner is available now for £130.
