Computer hardware company LaCie has released its distinctly odd-looking Sound2 speakers, designed with the technical assistance of acoustic engineers Cabasse.
The Sound2 is designed to hook up to everything from AV gear to computers, and includes class D amplification and drivers designed by Neil Poulton at LaCie and can handle up to 30 watts of power with an 80Hz-20kHz frequency response.
They can be connected via USB to a computer or line-in to any compatible music-playing source and can be powered through the USB or with an external power supply.
Hook up involves simple plug n play with the built in USB and line-in and supplied volume control.
Available now, a pair of Sound2 speakers cost £86.
