Sharp Electronics today announced a new range of AQUOS Full Screen LED backlight LCD TVs.
The ultra-low energy, LE600 and LE700 televisions are for commercial use and are expected to be popular for digital signage and multimedia applications.
This Full-HD 1080p LCD TV series introduces a newly-developed X-Gen Panel with advanced pixel control for extremely deep black levels.

That’s because of the Full-Screen LED backlight system that delivers unprecedented image quality and an energy-efficient, eco-friendly performance with brighter whites and darker blacks.”
The LE600 is available in 32”, 40” and 46” models with the LE700 spanning the same range with the addition of a 52” model.
These series also incorporate Sharp’s next-generation Full HD 1080p X-Gen LCD panel which will be forged at the world’s first 10th Generation LCD plant.
The LE700 utilises 100Hz technology and has a response time of 4ms. The series also has an impressive 176-degree viewing angle, enabling the colour reproduction to appear bright and vivid from virtually anywhere in a room or retail space.
As you would expect with the AQUOS LED series is designed to bring overall value and low total cost, with several eco-friendly improvements enabled by LED technology.
The UltraBrilliant, full screen LED backlight enables precise light output with higher luminance per watt so less overall power is needed – only 0.01W when in stand-by mode1. The TV is also equipped with a system designed to lower power consumption during use by adjusting the screen brightness based on the level of brightness in the room. In fact, this series offers 40% less power consumption than traditional LCD backlight technology. These TV series also use eco-friendly components and are mercury free with both the LE600 and LE700 being awarded the EU eco-label commendation.
