Communiqué de presse

As an Association partner to the event, CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) will be playing an active role at ISE 2007 (Integrated Systems Europe, 29 January-1 February, Amsterdam RAI, Netherlands). The Association will not only be present on Stand O90 but will also be a key leader in the ISE education program, helping to inform visitors about the skill-sets required for professional home electronic systems design and integration.

“We are delighted to be involved in ISE’s education programme as part of CEDIA’s drive to raise standards in the custom electronics industry across Europe” says Peter Aylett, CEDIA’s education manager. “As well as a range of seminars and examinations offered in English, we are for the first time providing courses in German which we are sure will prove popular with ISE visitors.”

In total CEDIA is offering eight courses at the event. ‘CEDIA Installer Level 1 Certification Review and Examination’ is aimed at people with at least six months experience as a residential installer and who wish to become CEDIA certified. ‘Introduction to Residential Multiroom Audio’ will examine the differences between the brands, technologies and topologies for distributing audio around the home whilst ‘Introduction to Home Theatre Design’ will educate delegates on the basic terms, elements and requirements of home theatre design. ‘Introduction to the Residential Custom Installation Business’ is aimed at new entrants to the integrated home business and will provide delegates with a thorough grounding in all aspects of this growing industry.

There will also be a number of courses presented in German including ‘IP for Integrators’, essential for anyone involved in integrated homes, this course will explain network protocols and IP addressing as well as what devices are needed for WAN and LAN connectivity. ‘Project Risk management’ considers potential obstacles as well as the consequences if they are not addressed. And finally, ‘Making the move to residential custom integration’ is aimed at people entering the residential custom install business from a variety of backgrounds including commercial audio, IT and construction related professions. Delegates wishing to book any of these courses are able to do so online at www.iseurope.org. For a complete curriculum of the CEDIA courses available, please contact Peter Aylett at peter@cedia.co.uk.
