Communiqué de presse

CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) has announced that floorspace for its 2007 Expo is expanding in size by more than 15% in response to visitor growth and rising demand from exhibitors.

“Where other shows have become downbeat and struggled to maintain exhibitor and visitor levels, CEDIA Expo continues to grow” says Matt Nimmons, CEDIA Expo’s Show Manager. “That’s why we have taken the step of expanding the floor space by a further 1000m² to 7000m² to provide a platform for more exhibitors to address the custom installation audience. Already 80% of this floorspace is reserved and we are taking a strong level of enquiries for the remainder”.

In other developments, CEDIA has appointed two board members with special responsibility for CEDIA Expo. Stuart Tickle of AWE is Trade supplier Expo Chair and Paul Helliar of D&T Electronics takes up the role of ESP Expo Chair. Stuart and Paul are heading up the Expo committee which also includes Mike Beatty of Pulse Marketing, Des Boucher of DBCC, Gary Brown of Helvar and Tony Harper from T&T Communications. The balance of this CEDIA Expo committee is designed to ensure that the voices of both exhibitors and visitors are effectively addressed at the event.

In addition to the exhibition, CEDIA Expo is well known for its extensive education programme and networking opportunities. The education programme will be sustained at its 2006 level, providing more than 170 hours of training for delegates, to ensure that the high quality is maintained. CEDIA is also placing greater emphasis on networking for Expo 2007 and is looking to revise and extend the social programme running alongside the event, incorporating the Chairman’s Reception, CEDIA Awards presentation and CEDIA Party.
