A completed multi-room audio package is provided by both the D5SHK4 and the D5RHK which are able to control up to four sources, distribute audio in up to four zones and feature a digital delivery system. The D5SHK4 is a four source, four zone wall mount kit with the ability to remotely locate sources. It is based on a wall mount hub and fits most structured wiring systems. Each keypad supports a local input via an input plate and an external IR input although they are CFL, plasma and LCD friendly in their own right. The D5RHK is a four source, four zone 19" equipment rack hub with an advanced learning remote, Digi-5 keypads and a 110 punch-down tool. Both feature a super bright OLED display, studio slim design and fit in a decora plate.
The D5XHE is a six zone equipment rack expansion unit with a digital delivery system, has audio loop-thru connection from the master hub and audio input level control. It features a serial RS-232 control port, IR emitter outputs, zone pairing for combining keypads in a zone and zone power output for longer distances. A D5XHE expansion unit can also work as a stand alone system by using a D5IP input plate to feed in sources to the first unit instead of linking in from a central hub. In addition, RM1UKIT rack ears are available as an optional extra, and the D5XHE can also be expanded with up to four further D5XHE units to form a twenty four zone system and up to 28 zones if a D5RH rack hub is included. The biggest possible system is 32 zones which is achieved by linking together eight wall hubs.
Xantech DIGI-5 is a complete line of products that are simple to install, are on a CAT5 based system that provides a full featured, fully distributed digital music system at the price of analogue. All hubs, both racks and the wall mounts also feature RS232 control ports. Systems are configurable for single or multi-zone concurrent listening in four locations and are expandable to up to 16 locations. The new platform comes in multiple form factors such as a structure wiring module and an equipment rack model. Additional features include room EQ and local and shared source switching in each room.
