Stylish Portfolio Includes HD Radio Capability, Enhanced Sound Quality and Touch Sensor Controls

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2008 – Led by its award-winning dual-format Super Blu™ Player (BH200), LG
Electronics expands its 2008 digital audio-video line with innovative home theater audio products tuned
by renowned audio expert, Mr. Mark Levinson, and new portable navigation devices. The 2008 digital
audio-video line highlights enhanced sound quality, sleek designs and new features, such as HD radio and
user-friendly touch sensing controls.

LG’s full digital audio-video line is on display this week at the at the 2008 International Consumer
Electronics Show – Booth #8214, Central Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center.

LG’S SUPER BLU™ PLAYER

LG Super Blu™ Player (model BH200) – The BH200 is LG’s second generation high-def player to offer
full Blu-ray disc and HD DVD playback in one device. The LG Super Blu’s advanced BD-Java and HD DVD
interactivity enables consumers to use the industry’s widest variety of high-definition content,
regardless of disc format. In addition to the latest high-def disc technologies, the LG Super Blu Player
also up-scales standard def DVDs and supports audio CDs. The BH200 includes additional features such
as:

  • QDEO™ advanced video processing
  • HDi web-connected interactivity included on many HD DVDs
  • Up-scaling standard DVDs to 1080p HDTV resolution
  • USB Media Host
  • LG SimpLink™ Connectivity

HOME THEATER SYSTEMS

  • DVD Home Theater System (LHT888) – LG’s LHT888 home theater system, tuned by Mr. Mark
    Levinson, is inspired by the slim, elegant form of the champagne glass. The LHT888’s loudspeakers
    feature multiple drivers in parabolic housings, each with a tapered integrated pedestal. The system
    includes a 700W 5.1-channel DVD receiver with full HD 1080p Up-scaling. Other features include:
    • USB Media Plus
    • HDMI output
    • LG SIMPLINK™ multi-device control (HDMI-CEC) and multi-format playback compatibility—DivX,
      MP3, JPEG, MPEG
  • Home Theater Tabletop Audio System (LFD850) – Powerful enough to be a main audio system,
    but small enough for tight quarters, the 2.1 Channel, 160-watt shelf system combines superior
    sound quality and an attractive appearance in a compact package. The LFD850 features a piano
    black finish, Immersive Sound Technology and LG’s parabola design 3-inch speaker which provides
    more than 30 percent greater efficient sound-emitting vibration area. The unit’s front-mounted
    eclipse touch panel control eliminates the need for additional knobs or buttons. Additional features
    include:
    • CD playback with vacuum-loading vertical slot
    • AM/FM tuner
    • USB Media Plus port to allow playback of music, photos and video
    • Clock radio with alarm and sleep modes

DIGITAL AUDIO: SOUND QUALITY GETS A BIG BOOST IN A SMALL PACKAGE

  • Tabletop Audio System (PC12) – A 2008 CES Innovations Award Honoree, the PC12 offers consumers
    convenience, functionality and flexibility. The PC12 is LG first audio system to offer HD Radio
    technology. HD Radio enhances AM and FM broadcasting with an increased number of channels and
    drastically improved sound quality. In addition to playing AM and FM stations with HD sound, the HD
    Radio displays broadcast information including station name, artists, and song titles LG’s innovative
    parabola speakers prevent unnecessary hi-frequency signals and eliminate the sound distortion
    caused by filters. Its high-gloss black finish and red ambient background lighting compliment the
    PC12’s unique, compact design. Other features include:
    • Made for iPod® Direct Docking station
    • Clock, alarm and sleep functions
    • CD playback and single-disc vacuum-loading vertical slot
    • USB media host for playing MP3 and WMA files

PORTABLE NAVIGATION DEVICES

LG Electronics is showcasing three new portable navigation devices at CES. New models are preloaded with
2D and 3D maps of U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and offer turn-by-turn text-to-speech voice guidance. The
display has day and night modes to make viewing a snap. The units also serve as Bluetooth hands-free
speakerphone devices, and the Bluetooth link facilitates phone book synchronization with the PND.

  • LN835 – Model LN835 features a 3.5-inch LCD display, millions of points of interest (POIs), music/photo
    playback capabilities and a built-in speaker. Batteries last up to four hours, making the LN835 the
    perfect choice for family excursions or business trips. Other features include:

  • LN845 – The slim LN845’s bright, 4.3-inch widescreen LCD display makes menus and maps especially
