LG Electronics (LG), a leader in consumer electronics and mobile communications, signed a contract with SEGA Enterprises Ltd. (SEGA) for game trailer movies during 2007 International CES. The companies will kick off the joint promotion at the 2007 International CES in Las Vegas, January 8-11.
“This joint promotion with SEGA will give LG a great opportunity to highlight our advanced 1080p displays by showing SEGA’s Full HD content on our Full HDTVs,” said Young Chan Kim, Executive Vice President of Digital Display Global Marketing & Sales of LG Electronics. “Full HD flat-panel HDTVs have the capability of displaying 1080p content, the highest resolution format possible. Our customers demand the highest standards in technology and we will continue to expand our offerings to meet everyone’s needs – from movie buffs to gamers to companies in need of digital displays.”
Visitors to LG’s booth (Booth #8214, Central Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center) at 2007 International CES will be dazzled by HD and Full HD games developed by SEGA and shown on LG’s Full HDTVs. Video games will include Virtua Fighter 5 and Sonic The Hedgehog, both compatible with the PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360, next generation game consoles.
LG Electronics also produced the world’s first high definition content using HD technology from NHK, Japan’s public broadcast channel, especially for 2007 International CES. This Full HD 1080p content was shot by a Full HD high speed motion camera, the fastest camera ever created, and will demonstrate Full HDTV’s capability to show unique visuals such as sports with 33 compact disk access time and to accurately and naturally reproduce colors found in nature.
LG will demonstrate its broad line-up of Full HD LCD TVs including 37-, 42-, 47-, and 55-inch models.
