Denon has announced its first pair of in-ear noise-cancelling headphones with the snappily named AH-NC600. The company claims they can reduce outside noise by 99 per cent, making them ideal for noisy plane and train journeys.
They also use Denon proprietary technologies like Compressed Audio Restorer, which is designed to improve the sound of compressed digital audio files such as MP3 and the Radial Cascade Damper, which aims to reduce the magnified sound from cables if they’re handled or moved.
The AH-NC600s require a single AAA battery for the noise-cancelling feature and promise 40 hours of ambience-free listening before replacement. Without the noise-cancelling facility of course, they act like a standard earphone.
The Denon AH-NC600 is available in black only, comes with its own carry case and goes on sale in September, at a cost of £160.
