Sky are set to launch 3D TV from next year. After a number of trials and after seeing Premiership football in 3D CineNow can not wait.
The company plans to offer the “next step in the Sky+ HD journey”, UK’s first ever 3D channel in 2010, which will carry movies, entertainment and sport.
This channel will be “broadcast across Sky’s existing HD infrastructure” meaning that it will be accessible to all owners of existing Sky+ HD set top boxes as long as they have a 3D ready TV set, with the first models likely to go on sale next year.
Sky also hope to have it’s ‘video on demand’ service up and running by next year.
