Artcoustic Speakers have won 2 awards from this years Trade magazine SVI (Sound Vision Install) awards. All winners will be announced later this week via SVI’s Editor Elizabeth Sharp.
Best Home speaker system for iPod was won by the Artcoustic Superstar and Best Flat-panel Speaker was won by the Artcoustic DF75-55.

The Superstar has been designed to change the way our industry habitually designs multi-room audio. All too often, the most beautiful, most expensive homes are being fitted with cheap, low quality, anonymous in ceiling speakers. There is very little perceived value or pride of ownership with in-ceiling speakers – when was the last time anyone got excited with a pair of in-ceiling speakers in a kitchen!!??
The Superstar offers an alternative. Much higher quality and much higher value, as well as being a visual point of interest with a pride of ownership that encourage clients to show it off to their friends (your future clients!). It is also very photogenic. Photos of installations with in ceiling speakers are often met with blank responses…..the Superstar is something to show off.
Installers have been using the Superstar with a variety of products. The most often used are as a zone from a Crestron, AMX, Control 4, Nuvo, Opus, Systemline, Living Control type of system, as well as Sonos zones with ZP90s. It has also been used on second zone outputs from Denon AV amps etc, as well as B&O systems and simple iPod systems. You just need power and signal and it is ready to go.
