Eos wireless audio system is set to distributed by Armour Home in the UK. Eos is the world’s first digital wireless “whole home audio” speaker system for iPod.
The Eos wireless system has a main docking station that features two high performance stereo speakers and a ported sub-woofer. Importantly, the base station also benefits from a 3.5mm input jack allowing music from any other source with a suitable output, such as CD players, radios, computers, MP3 players and the like, to be connected.
Eos use something called GigaWave technology which employs error correction and a unique frequency hopping scheme for a range of up to 50 metres through walls and ceilings in both indoor and outdoor environments.
The Eos remote wireless speakers boast two high-performance stereo drivers and a ported subwoofer. The revolutionary design of the wireless remote speaker features a removable, integrated power supply that allows the speaker to mount directly on a wall power outlet independently, without mounting brackets or other support. By removing the power supply from its cavity on the rear of the cabinet, the stereo remote speaker can sit independently on a table or bookshelf.
The recommended retail price of the core system, which includes a docking station/transmitter with built-in speakers and one extra wireless remote stereo speaker, is £249.95 including vat.
If you would like more speakers you can have up to three further wireless stereo speakers from one base station. Extra speakers are priced at £99.95 each including vat. This means a full five room, wireless audio system comes to less than £550.
The Eos system has a two year warranty and is available now from Veda.co.uk and authorised dealers throughout the UK.
