Denon today launched a new Magnesium reference pair of Headphones. This is Denon’s second high-end headphone and is another state-of-the-art closed design, delivering quality and serious performance at an attainable price.
The new Headphones are aimed at the Hi-Fi enthusiast who still want speaker reproduction without disturbing others.
Most high-end headphones are open-backed, so these are unusual as specifically high-performance CLOSED BACK headphones, are designed to keep the music IN and the noise OUT.
The D2000 meet Denon’s strict quality criteria for design and sound quality. Denon say “This Reference headphone is a closed-back design for music lovers who want to enjoy music in peace. The ultra-light magnesium frame and soft padding make them superbly comfortable for long listening sessions”.
Audio performance was decisive to the design of the headphone housing and materials offering the best possible acoustics. The D2000 offers a rich, controlled, yet natural sound, due partly to its capsules made of advanced damped composites, which possess superior acoustic characteristics.
Using Denon’s unique Acoustic Optimizer ensures advanced acoustics by adjusting the sound pressure balance in front of and behind the diaphragm. This design makes greater diaphragm movement and speed possible and is one reason for the airy and dynamic sound, even when complex music is being listened to.
The large diaphragms are made from a special Microfiber that is 100 times denser than normal diaphragms. The Diaphragms are rigid, light, ultra-fast and can reproduce the tiniest sonic details and delicate reverberations that occur in real life music. To get high sensitivity and power delivery, the dynamic drivers include powerful 50mm neodymium magnets.
Denon’s D2000 Reference Headphones are available from all Denon stockist and retail at £249.99
