Denon have launched their new Integrated AV amp in the UK.
The brand-new AVC-A1HD owes much of its design to Denon’s £10,000 separates the AVP/POA-A1HD (see presentation here in Video), packing most of that incredible performance into a compact and more affordable package with 7 channels instead of 10.
Denon’s new amp is the best integrated AV Amplifier built to THX Ultra2 standards. The AVC-A1HD delivers powerhouse movies and music. Power is 150w across all seven channels, 1080p video processing comes courtesy of the Realta sxT2 HQV processing chip and there are Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD decoders. A new control layout and a photo-real graphic interface makes the AVC-A1HD easier to use.
The AVC-A1HD weighs in at a hefty 29 kilos this is thanks to the massive multi-layer construction. Which separates all elements of the circuitry, minimises vibration and prevents audio, video and digital circuits from interfering with each other.
Digital connections are always important and Denon have added Wi-fi and ethernet ports offering total connectivity, with music streaming from PCs, MACs and network storage, Internet Radio and complete control & setup over the web. USB ports handle MP3 and USB drives and a dedicated iPod interface gives iPod audio, photo and video playback.
The AVC-A1HD retails for £3,800 including VAT.
