The second generation Blu-ray player by Samsung is being rolled out in the US.
The Samsung BD-P1200 sounds extremely promising by a quick look at the tests available on the web. It’s more advanced technologically and cheaper than its predecessors.
Equipped with the Silicon Optix Reon-VX HQV chip, it’s unbeatable regarding DVD and Blu-ray video processing, interlaced in 1080i, and features a HDMI 1.3 (1080p) output and takes 24p mode, jerk free, via its 72 Hz video output. We can only regret it doesn’t play Dolby True HD and DTS HD nor does it read Ethernet wired content (none of them can do it as we speak).
