B&W Bows new VM6 Speaker

17 janvier 2007

B&W unveils new compact Home Theater speaker system.

B&W clearly presents its product as designed to suit the sophistication and elegance of flat screen designs today. Good looks and sleek figure necessarily entail technical characteristics especially in terms of internal noise reduction.

The VM6 is a step up from the already acclaimed VM1. It’s a two-way, ported, wall-mount or stand-mount design, which can be placed in either vertical or horizontal position. The wall bracket and table-top stand are first wired with speaker cables and then the speaker is slid into the bracket or stand to provide contact for the audio signals. This allows for tidy cable routing, which keeps the installation clean and modern.

It features 800 Series derived electro-acoustic technology for improved resolution and bass extension, along with a *130mm Kevlar cone bass/midrange driver and a Nautilus tube-loaded 25mm aluminium dome tweeter that delivers solid bass down to 49Hz (-6dB).

VM-6 speakers are available in black, pearl white, and silver finishes with complementary grill cloths of black (black finish), white (pearl white) and mid-grey (silver finish).

VM6 speakers have a suggested retail of $450 each. They will be available in January 2007.
