TEAC releases Master Clock Sync Generator for top of the range players

28 décembre 2006

TEAC is the first to offer a hybrid “Master Clock” and PCM Digital Audio Up-converter in a single component destined for Esoteric’s USA dealer network.

The TEAC ESOTERIK G25U enhances a digital audio component system by generating a WORD SYNC output signal that is accurate to +/- 1 part per million (ppm). When that signal is input into a source device with a WORD SYNC or WORD CLOCK input, (such as a CD/DVD player) and a separate DAC, timing sync between the transport and DAC is greatly improved. This results in reduced jitter, better transparency, improved imaging, clearer channel separation and greater depth of field.

With the G25U’s up-conversion circuitry, PCM audio signals from any digital device can be re-sampled up to 32 times allowing the user to select an output level up to 192 kHz. This signal processing can dramatically improve the sound quality of “Redbook” CDs and of any other PCM audio stream input by coax digital or optical (TosLink) connections. Both the master clock signal generator and the PCM up-converter can operate independently or together, based on compatibility with the selected source device.

Specifications of the G25U can be found at http://www.teac.com/esoteric/G-25U.html. The G25U is available now through the Esoteric dealer network at $3000.00.
