We have arrived in Denver and just had a first look at the superb installations being set up in the huge Colorado Convention Center. It’s even bigger and better than we ever imagined! The anticipated 30,000 visitors will have lots to see and the rooms for the training sessions, which makes CEDIA an event different from any other Trade Show, are all in place for the 7000 attendees as well.
It looks like a mission impossible to see everything even with an extra day this year given all the new 1080p video projectors that are being installed. New mono and 3 chip projectors will be on show as well as the first THX certified projector from Runco. Plasma and LCD screens are literally everywhere. The HD DVD / Blue-Ray war has found itself a magnificent battle ground with iPod products seeming to pop up like mushrooms.
With so much to do, we will start by getting our video films in the box, as we have seen only one other team with lots of equipment doing filming of the event. The superb Press Room is packed full of journalists writing madly brief summaries of what’s on show, so we’ll pack up the tons of documents with the high def pictures in the press kits, along with those we will take, to give you a more in-depth and complete analysis and full photo report with Zoom Images in the coming days.
And off we go !
