Epson "All-In-One" digital projector shakes Japanese market

Projector, DVD, slide-projector, surround system combo! To say the truth, the Epson EMP-TWD1 is a complete home cinema center. It is specially designed for the use in tiny spaces, since it was originally targeting the Japanese household market but then, Japanese are not the only people in the world who have to accept living in tiny spaces, so this device may have a nice world career as well. And all this comes in the -tiny again- region of £800... It was a good bet, because since its launch in October in Japan, the prodigy has gained 40% market share over there.

The EMP-TWD1 uses the 5th Epson 3LCD-technology generation, while JVC DVD player and sound system complement the projector. It's a plug-n-play system, just insert a DVD, press start and images of our choice are displayed at home. You don't need a 2000 square feet living room, a 1.20m image is generated at 1.50m only.

Projector : The EMP-TWD1 projector includes a lens shift function bringing off-centre viewing capacity (again, they thought of tiny spaces). The horizontal and vertical image shift control corrects image distortion. Surround : The EMP-TWD1 is also a surround hi-fi system; It can be integrated in larger systems or connected to an external tuner, a game console, a video recorder or S video. Slide projector : The EMP-TWD1 is also a "slide projector" that allows to view your last family vacation directly from the CD. DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial) : It can be connected directly to a DVB-T or satellite receiver to let you watch the 2006 Football Cup
