Five new systems compose Pioneer's latest all in one packages...

All systems include analogue or digital amplifiers, a flexible surround installation capacity, and they are DivX playback compatible. In addition, an "Automatic Optimal Surround Set-up" is available on top models. The DCS family provides top image quality, thanks to the 108 MHz/12-bit Video DACS, and they are loaded with "features and functions".

DCS-232/DCS-240 is an entry level for the "first-time home cinema buyer", that comprises a super slim (60mm) DVD player, radio receiver, and 360 Watts digital amplifier. It is equipped with the 108 MHz /12-bit video DAC and includes DivX full screen. They come with a floor-standing 19 cm sleek subwoofer. They offer surround sound quality and can be placed either in a 5.1 setting or front surround setting.

The only difference between DCS-232 and DCS 240 is that the former comes with bookshelf satellite front, while the latter is delivered with so-called "tallboy" front satellite speakers.

They come with SVCD/MP3/WMA/JPEG playback, RW compatibility (Home recorded DVD-R and DVD-RW, as well as DVD-RW recorded in DVD Video Recording mode).

DCS-333/DCS-340 is the next level, featuring a 70mm slim main unit, powerful DA converter, and DivX compatibility. A 600 Watts amplifier (analogue), a super-slim subwoofer are delivered with the package. The main difference between DCS-333 and DCS-340 is, as for DCS 232/DCS-240 systems, to be found in the satellite bookshelf or front "tallboy" speakers.

But they also provide a key feature, namely Pioneer's "Automatic Optimal Surround Set-up" with a technology named "MCACC" that optimally adjust the sound. Plug the MCACC microphone, push the button and leave it at its own calculations and settings.

DCS-535 is wireless

DCS-535 comprises an ultra-slim (60mm) main unit with a 380 Watts digital amplifier, DVD player, compact satellite front and center speakers, digital wireless rear speaker that is equipped with a built-in amplifier. The surround sound is obtained through a sound wave bouncing system. A sophisticated wireless technology eliminates interferences from other electronic devices or obstacles.
