The 321 GSX system with numerous options
Available in August in the USA is Bose's third HDD equipped Home Theatre system, dubbed 321 GSX. American consumers can buy this device for $1,699. It is a 2-speaker system and it comes along the Lifestyle 38 and 48 five-speaker systems, which are priced at $2,999 and $3,999, respectively.
The 321 GSX system comes with a music server, and consists of:
Two compact "Gemstone" small, but efficient speakers One "Acoustimass" bass module that can be hidden away The Premium Media Center that stores up to 200 hours from your CD collection, and is also equipped with a progressive scan DVD/CD, as well as an AM/FM tuner

"BoseLink networking technology" allows for wired or wireless distribution several rooms, but while the GSX streams one at a time, Lifestyle 38 and 48 systems can stream simultaneously. There are differences, though:
The 321 GSX would, according, to Bose, allow for a single room addition. The Lifestyle wired configuration can create a two-source, 14 room network, while the wireless option allows up to 8 room network.The "clients" of the network can be the two-speaker Series II Bose 321 and Bose 321 GS -priced $999 and $1,299, respectively-, the "Roomate" one-chassis amplified speaker system that costs $499, the "Wave Music System" table radio/CD -$499-, and finally the radio-only "Wave Radio 2" that comes at $349. The Roomate is delivered with all necessary cable and an RF remote that displays song titles of music stored on the hard drives.

Bose adds a wireless option, dubbed AL8, consisting of a separate Transmitter/receiver with more than 80 feet range. It costs $399, while additional receivers will be priced at $149.
