The award-winning Universal Remote Control MX-3000, MX-950, MX-850 and the current MX-800 and MX-700 all feature IR codes for Microsoft ® Windows Media Center devices, enabling custom home integration professionals to easily incorporate home media systems into their projects and allowing their clients to enjoy a unified platform for playback, editing, networking — and now Complete Control!
“As the media and technologies of home entertainment and home computing have evolved toward a singular interoperable platform, Universal Remote Control has been on the front lines with high-quality, innovative and affordable multi-room systems” noted Eric Johnson, Universal Remote Control Vice President of Technology. “It is fitting, therefore, that today we can announce the industry's most far-reaching incorporation of Media PC compatibility in a universal remote control. We look forward to working with our integration partners and their clients to advance the integration and design of high-performing, easy-to-operate and yet affordable home infotainment systems.
Universal Remote Control's Media PC capability includes all eight Windows Media Center addresses and offers better functionality than the remote supplied with most Media P c s, supporting commands such as DVD Angle and Subtitle.
The Windows Media Center IR codes are available in the MX Editor software IR database under the AUX device listing.
Universal Remote Control's line of Complete Control system remotes use the innovative MX Editor PC programming software that enables custom installation professionals to “Live Update” a pre-programmed IR database with the IR codes
for thousands of devices including hard-to-find discrete command codes. With the burgeoning array of Microsoft Windows Media Center devices from vendors such as Dell, Gateway, HP, Microsoft and Sony, Universal Remote Control has successfully sought to make programming and updating as transparent and seamless as possible.
“Just as these PC computer manufacturers have developed a core competency in the design and manufacture of PC computers, Universal Remote Control has made the design and manufacture of innovative, intuitive remote controls its exclusive mission,” Johnson said today. “No other manufacturer offers this level of focus or commitment and the results cane be seen in the advanced multi-room systems we offer and the universal functionality they provide.”
