From outer space...

French brand Dreamvision, whose care in development, manufacturing and assembling has been proved in the past, is stepping on the high-class market with the upcoming release of a new mono-lamp video projector, destined to connoisseurs and passionates of great image: the Dreamweaver.
The little story: Dreamvision chose the latest CES show in Las Vegas to give a preview of its new baby to the international audience. The preview turned out to be an almost definitive version of a device which specificities will amaze the most blasé Home Theatre lovers…

Built around a frame of the latest kind, the Dreamweaver is an extremely elegant device, shaped to fit in the design bio line, and offers a beautiful high-class grey lacquered finish. As for the more generic characteristics, its silhouetted shell features two openings, respectively dedicated to the video broadcast and to the plugging of various video sources.

On the technical side, Dreamvision offers a video panel of the latest kind, built around the new DMD Mustang HD2 12' processor made by Texas Instruments. It is composed by a microprocessor with a native resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels in 16/9, a six-segments chromatic wheel (9000 tr/mn). The whole feature is built within a closed and sealed circuit, which greatly limits any light intrusion.
Furthermore, the Dreamweaver offers an 1100 lumens luminosity, with a contrast ratio of 1500 :1. We shall note that the noise level remains reasonably low (32dB). Despite the use of high quality electronic components, Dreamvision has opted for a "High End" optical panel, chosen for its performances. Therefore, and with the use of an optical block created by Carl Zeiss, Dreamvision here offers us a device especially made for a Home Theatre use.

As for the connections once again, nothing has been left to desire : we're being offered an eight lines-in video panel, 2 Triggers, an USB, an IR repetitor… All in all: enough to allow any user to connect a large variety of sources. Fully agreeing to the HDTV standard, Dreamvision offers a video-projector capable of dealing with the different High-Definition video resolutions.

As a matter of conclusion, note that Dreamvision is planning an April 2003 release in Europe. The price will be set around 9990 Euros.
