Sanyo, designers of data projectors, are now attacking the domestic market, launching the PLV-70, a High Definition Tri-LCD machine.

The manufacturer has released a communiqué presenting the main functions and characteristics of the machine.
FYI, the PLV-70 will be on sale from mid-September at a recommended retail price of 7,900 € (not incl. VAT).

Here’s the basics of the news release:

Optimal Image Sharpness
As proof, the high brightness level of 2000 ANSI lumens – enough to convince even the most sceptical. It’s high contrast ratio of 800:1 is added to by W-XGA resolution (1366 x 768 pixels) and a system of progressive scan (HDTV Progressive Scan System), which transmits the whole images rather than line by line. This avoids the “fuzzy” effect which can sometimes prevent optimal image sharpness.

Colours Truer Than Nature
The Colour Management built-in software gives truer colours, and the user is able to adjust colours via a easy-to-use menu.

3 interchangeable lenses for a better adaptation to its environment.
The PLV-70 projector isn’t hard to get on with, and is indeed extremely co-operative at all times: in addition to the standard high quality lens, it disposes of three other interchangeable ones (ultra wide angle, zoom, remote zoom) allowing it to adapt to the most diverse conditions. The motorised lens allows the user to vary the height of the image without displacing the machine. One only has to press a button for horizontal and vertical keystone correction which compensate for eventual trapezoidal distortions.

Useful Functions for Presentations
The PLV-70 offers, among other things, numerous functions that are useful for presentations: i.e., the freeze-frame function, digital zoom to zoom on etails of the image, the “No Show” function and the DRIT (Digital Realized Interpolation Technology) interpolation process, guaranteeing perfect and stable resolution.

The Virtually Silent Projector
The fan control and "3D Digital Noise Reduction for Video Image" noise reduction filter system reduce noise levels markedly. sonore.

Remote control and multiple commands thanks to the PJ Net Organizer
The PLV-70 is equipped with a PJ Net Organizer making it even easier to use. This module offers numerous useful functions such as a remote control system allowing one to verify the status of the projector or to modify certain parameters. The multi-command function allows one to transmit instructions from a Central PC to several projectors at a time or to drive such things as a DVD player. The automatic error notification not only signals break-downs and incidents, but also sends, if necessary, an electronic message to the system administrator. PJ Net Organizer turns the projector on and off automatically at the time desired, thanks to a timing function.
