The Price War Continues

Consecutive price reductions for the two manufacturers who have each announced that they will be reducing the price of their game consoles by 20%.

This slash in prices was due to come into effect from Friday 30th August at midnight .
We have noted that the first announcement came from Sony, followed closely by Microsoft, who aim to compete head on with the Japanese giant.

Prices – examples in France:
- GameCube: 199 €
- Xbox: 249 € (new, reduced price)
- Playstation 2: 259 € (new, reduced price)
Only 10 € separate the price of the two consoles. The Playstation 2 thus becomes the more expensive of the two for the moment.
