The Universal Burner
Sony has announced, via their site, the launch early September of the first DVD player/burner compatible with all recording formats.
With the market booming for this kind of machine, the Japanese manufacturer will thus be launching, in the coming days, the first player/burner able to play and write on the first “versatile” supports: DVD-RW and DVD+RW.
For the moment, no concrete information (price/reference/specs) have been announced by Sony, however it appears obvious that this machine will be more expensive than those currently on the market.
Meanwhile, LG, who presented their future burner/player during Cebit in Germany is also preparing for the launch of the latter.
