4 New Machines
Sony have launched a new range of four projectors offering improved image quality and better luminosity, reinforcing their supremacy in the European projector market. Designed for small meeting rooms, the models VPL-CX4 and VPL-CS4 pump out 1,000 ANSI lumens, can be adjusted to natural light conditions, are simple to use, and only weigh 2.4 kg. For “road warriors”, Sony are launching a 1,000 lumen projector with Memory Stick - the VPD-MX10, weighing-in at only 2.0 kg..
The VPL-CX4 and the VPD-MX10 both have XGA resolution giving excellent quality images. Another major plus comes in their “clever” casing – very thin-line, also guaranteeing a very appreciable low sound level when it comes to those formal presentations. The VPL-CS4, the SVGA version of the VPL-CX4, replaces the VPL-CS3 - number 1 in projector sales (in Continental Europe between April and July 2001). It is on sale for a very competitive price, making it a serious competitor on the consumer leisure market, which is currently experiencing boom conditions.
For medium sized meeting rooms (with screens from 80 to 120 inches), Sony has launched a worthy successor to the VPL-CX10, the VPL-CX11… more particularly destined to the professional and educational markets. It’s light weight – 3.3kg – which makes it very mobile, while also being predisposed to fixed installation use. Quick to be put into use, it can be easily adjusted with great simplicity, thanks to the software and remote control supplied with the unit.
With its excellent image reproduction (1,500 ANSI Lumens), the VPL CX11 is highly efficient in ambient light conditions.
The VPL-C and the VPD-MX10 benefit from a complete assistance package, including 24 hour replacement service for any defective projector, telephone support, and the possibility to extend the guarantee to 3 years.
