The new Dynaudio Sub 250 II, replacing the existing Sub 250, is the most compact sub-woofer in their range yet offers the high performance sound quality and real deep bass we are accustomed for the brand with the advantage of integrating in home theatres, stereo systems and sub-woofers/satellite systems where size is a key criteria. Available in various finishes, the Sub 250 II is equipped with a powerful 200 W amplifier and long-throw 24 cm woofer, a large 100 mm voice coil and the cone made from Dynaudio’s own MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) material.

Dynaudio Sub 250II The most compact sub-woofer in their range
Positioning multiple sub-woofers in a room offers the advantage of having the bass more evenly dispersed, improving the overall sound quality of the system. Furthermore, two or more smaller sub-woofers can even result in an ultimately superior bass performance than what can be achieved with one large sub-woofer. The concept of having multiple sub-woofers in high-end home theatre configurations is common where we have visited one with eighteen sub-woofers completely hidden in the walls, but without going to that extreme, several small ones can prove to be a significant overall improvement for any installation.
The Dynaudio Sub 250 II offers just that possibility by using a multi-sub configuration where two or more sub-woofers are connected in parallel using the ”slave” function, which by-passes all settings on the rear and adapts the settings from a ”master” sub-woofer.

The amplifier circuit incorporates variable gain setting, a variable Low-Pass Filter (50 Hz to 150 Hz), and a selectable phase switch (0º or 180º). The audio signal can be fed from an AV Receiver’s Subwoofer / LFE output into the LFE Input (1 x RCA), or from a Stereo Amplifier’s Pre-Out into the SUB Input (2 x RCA). A selectable High-pass Filter (Flat, 60 Hz, or 80 Hz) enables the SAT Output (2 x RCA) to facilitate a crossover integration between the Sub 250 II and the main speakers.
Dynaudio Sub 250II A legacy of Danish craftmanship
The Sub 250 II is available in a choice of Rosewood and Walnut real-wood veneer finishes or elegant Satin Black and Satin White Lacquer. The Danish tradition of craftsmanship drives the meticulous process of selecting and matching veneers from the finest woods available, followed by careful sanding, polishing and coating. The white and black piano lacquers are on the same level of quality as Dynaudio’s real-wood veneers with multiple layers of white or black lacquer coated onto the cabinet and finely polished to achieve a smooth and even surface. Only through this time-consuming effort can a cabinet finish that equals that of the legendary Dynaudio real-wood veneers be achieved.
