German high-end hi-fi specialist T+A has announced the Music Receiver, an all-in-one CD player/receiver/streaming device.

As well as its slot-loading CD player it also includes an FM RDS tuner and an amplifier that can deliver 94 watts per channel into 8ohms, or 160 watts per channel into 4ohms.
Around the back are five digital inputs: three coax supporting up to 24-bit/192kHz, and two optical, as well as USB sockets for an external hard drive and Apple devices including iPods, iPhones and iPads. There’s also Ethernet for a hard wire connection to your home network.
There are also three sets of analogue inputs (including one tape loop), preouts for active speakers or for adding a power amp, two subwoofer outputs and one line-level output. There are controls for balance and tone, volume, a ‘flat’ bypass function and a subsonic filter designed to be used with smaller subwoofer/satellite speaker systems.
The Music Receiver uses T+A’s latest streaming client board, which means it’s compatible with all DNLA-compatible servers, and there’s internet radio using the vTuner service.
It can play back MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG-Vorbis, FLAC and WAV files and it can stream both FLAC and WAV lossless files over a wired Ethernet connection.
The dual-mono 32-bit/384kHz Sigma Delta, eight-times oversampling DACs handle the digital to analogue conversion while the power amplifier section uses T+A’s own PWM output stage to bypass potential fluctuations in mains voltage.

There’s a high-power toroidal transformer on board as well as ultrafast MOSFET transistors and high-energy intelligent driver modules.
The solid steel chassis with pressure-cast side panels and aluminium front panel are all intended to provide isolation from external vibrations.
The T+A music Receiver is available in silver, black, or a mixture of the two, for £2,690.
