Called your_World, it includes a choice of USB transmitter or wireless iPod/iPhone dock, both of which can send music wirelessly to a choice of wireless speaker systems and even a wireless subwoofer.
It can use three radio channels which allows several systems to be run in the home without interference. Each has its own colour coding too – red, green or blue.
The wireless range stretches up to 20m, and you can use several speakers with a single transmitter, or several transmitters into a single receiver.
It also has a wired line-in connection for external equipment, and line-out to connect to a stereo system.
The your_Stick (£75) is the USB transmitter ‘dongle’, with ‘plug and play’ operation for both PCs and Macs, and a line-in for additional sound sources. It’s powered by the computer it’s connected to.
The your_Dock (£100) is the system’s iPod/iPhone dock which is powered by an external PSU and comes with its own remote control.
The first speaker system to hit the shelves will be the your_Duo (£450) – a pair of powered wireless stereo speakers with bass-reflex tuning offering 2×50 watts. They’re available in either black or white high gloss finish, and will come with a remote control handset.
Due for spring next year is your_Solo, a one-box active loudspeaker again offering 2×50 watts in black or white gloss finishes and supplied with a remote.
The 100-watt your_Sub subwoofer will complete the package. It comes with adjustable level and crossover, and will also be available in gloss black or white. Prices are yet to be set for these last two.
The USB dongle and dock, plus the stereo speakers should be available in October, with the single speaker and subwoofer following in spring 2012.
