The analogue connection uses 99.97% pure palladium for its 0.25mm diameter solid conductor, and is comes in lengths ranging from 0.5m to 1.5m.
The new cable goes through two stages of Deep Cryogenic Treatment – the first on the wire itself, the second on the finalised cable as well as Black Rhodium’s own ‘Crystal Sound’ treatment. The company says the DCT treatment adds “improvements to depth, clarity and timing”, while the CS brings “power and weight to bass notes, creating greater realism”.
PTFE insulation is used throughout, with silver-plated copper braid used for both the return conductor and the screen to help reduce background noise.
The Black Rhodium Overture DCT Ultra can be supplied with either Eichmann pure silver bullet plugs or Oyaide SLSC pure silver RCA plugs. A 0.5m pair will cost you £1,400, a 1m pair £1,900, and a 1.5m pair £2,400.
