The iconic Wirlitzer Jukebox has had a 21st Century update with the Lyra, which makes a radical departure from previous much-loved CD and vinyl-based designs.

The Wurlitzer Lyra gives a nod to older designs with its wood veneer finish and it will play CDs, but also uses a 15in touchscreen to allow you to stream and download music from the internet, including web radio stations.
It has a CD/DVD burner, SD-MMC card reader and a 320GB hard drive with room for up to 60,000 MP3s which can be uploaded via USB from CDs, DVDs or mobile devices.
The accompanying stereo speakers are powered by a 200-watt amplifier, and there’s a hefty built-in 10in subwoofer too. Internet connection is via Ethernet cable.
Paddy Murphy, managing director of distributor Jukeboxes Direct, said: “The Lyra is a classic for the 21st century… I am confident it will appeal to a younger generation.”
Prices for the Wurlitzer Lyra start at £2,995.
