Speaker specialist Harman/Kardon has announced the JBL OnBeat speaker dock for iPhone, iPod and iPad.

The brand new device includes an innovative cradle that expands to suit any of Apple’s music players, including the iPad. It can also be rotated so you can view movies in widescreen mode.
Inside is an amplifier delivering 2×7.5 watts to the twin speakers which the company says have been computer-optimized using DSP equalization to improve the soundstage. The full range drivers promise a frequency response of 70Hz-20kHz.
There’s a composite video output so you can hook it up to your TV and play back video on the big screen, a 3.5mm jack input for connecting other digital audio players, a USB input so you can sync and charge your iPod and a remote control.
The JBL OnBeat is available now in white or black for £150.
