The BD-D7500 is the company’s new flagship Blu-ray player and the company claims it’s the slimmest in the world at just 2.8cm high – so slim it can be easily wall-mounted if required.

The DLNA-certified player claims a three-second start-up time and features Samsung’s One Foot Connection, which allows sharing of content with compatible devices so long as they’re within 30cm of the player. There’s also full HD up-conversion, Samsung Wireless Link and integrated Wi-Fi.

Further down the scale are the BD-7000 which is bulkier, but features many of the same features as the flagship model, including 2D-3D conversion. The budget BD-6500 offers full HD up-conversion, but not 2D-to3D.

Andy Griffiths, Vice President of Consumer Electronics, Samsung UK, said: “As more people look to upgrade their home entertainment systems and embrace a rich, immersive 3D experience, Samsung is able to offer a wide range of options that support their needs today and into the future.”
