Digital radio specialist Pure has announced an RSS reader app and improved functionality for its Sensia internet radio.
Pure Sensia RSS feeder Pure Sensia, now with RSS
The app is available as a software upgrade and also offers slideshow support for FM radio stations (where supplied by the broadcaster) and promises enhanced performance overall.
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format which provides additional, regularly updated information for wesbites such as blog entries and news headlines.
Pure’s new RSS feeder app allows you to view the latest RSS feeds from your favourite websites with recommended feeds including news, finance, sport, arts, entertainment and tech news, and featuring the likes of BBC News, The Guardian and ESPN.
The software release also adds extra features to the Facebook app on Sensia, including most recent news feeds, the ability to view photos and to tag status posts with ‘like’ and ‘unlike’.
Additional functionality for the Sensia’s weather app means you can now add up to six locations and forecasts for both day and night for five consecutive days are available.
The Sensia also supports slideshow for FM RDS stations which allows you to view visual content such as competitions, album artwork or photos on the Sensia’s screen when listening to an FM radio station.
The RSS feeder is the fifth app available to Sensia owners (following Facebook, Twitter, Picasa and weather) and is available to download now.
