The Eton Soulra is an iPod dock that draws its power directly from the sun – even in cloudy conditions.

Manufacturer Eton claims that the portable dock’s built-in solar panel is sensitive enough to work even when the sunshine levels are reduced by cloud, which should extend its usefulness beyond the few weeks of the usual British summer.
It’s rubberised, splash-proof casing means it’s equipped for beach or boat use and if the sunshine really is too weak or you want to use it indoors, there’s a rechargeable lithium-ion battery too.
It will charge your iPhone or iPod while it plays and it comes with a multi-regional adapter with interchangeable plugs so you can even use it on sun-free holidays.
