Russ Andrews Accessories has upgraded its SuperKord Classic audiophile mains cable to Classic-SD II status and introduced the SuperKord Reference-SD II and SuperKord Signature-SD II, with improved Sawyers Disc technology to enhance the RFI reducing properties of the woven cable.

Andrews claims both cables use the RFI rejection properties of Kimber Kable’s woven cable technology, with 16 hyper-pure copper conductors in the SuperKord Reference and 24 in the Signature. The crossing wires in the woven geometry is intended to create a capacitive rejection of RFI, with the more wires crossing and the longer the cable, the greater the rejection properties.
Fitted into the wooden housings are the ‘Sawyers Discs’, a series of perforated discs designed to enhance the cable weave and electrically terminate the cable more effectively. The company claims a new proprietary earth enhancement assists in attenuating earth wire RFI, and helps reduce common mode noise without the sonic degradation and performance limitations of conventional common-mode chokes.
Russ Andrews, MD, said: “The new technology in the SuperKords means that these cables leapfrog over all our existing woven mains cables. I am astonished at the improvements the SuperKords have brought to my own system. It was the largest performance upgrade I have ever experienced with a mains cable. I know that music and movie lovers will enjoy the benefits.”
The new SuperKord SD II range is available now at these prices:
SuperKord Reference-SDII £950 1m
SuperKord Signature-SDII £1250 1m
