Moshi Audio is a new headphone brand for the UK and its first product is the Vortex.
The California-based firm uses a proprietary RigidBody driver housing designed to deliver fast articulate bass without distortion. The drive units include Neodymium drivers housed in sintered steel alloy which are intended to minimize cavity-induced coloration and promise “improved low frequency extension and silky smooth highs”.
Moshi’s big idea is heavier drivers and lighter cables, so that the cables don’t drag the earbuds downwards, allowing them to fit more securely in the ear.
The Vortex comes with three different sizes of hybrid-injection silicone ear tips as well as a set of memory-foam ear tips for optimal fit. It is also comes with an iPhone-compatible microphone for answering mobile phone calls on the go.
The Moshi Vortex is available now for around £70.
