It’s a high-performance 24-bit/96kHz DAC with a ‘low-latency’ USB 2.0 audio driver that both plays and records at 96kHz. Also on board is an MM/MC phono preamp for recording vinyl records to hard disk via the USB output.

The GT40 also has left and right analogue outputs, as well as switchable line or phono inputs, and is wired up using Furutech’s GT2 USB cable.

The ADL GT40 USB DAC is due to be distributed in the UK by Sound Fowndations and will be on sale from the end of August for £395.
