Samsung has launched its thinnest ever LED TV, the LED 9000, exclusively at London’s Harrods store until the end of this month. From July however it will be available nationwide in selected stores.
The LED 9000’s screen measures slightly less than 8mm, making it the slimmest LED screen on the market and the Premium Touch Remote which comes with it includes a built-in screen which offers viewers the ability to play TV content on it while watching Blu-Ray discs or different TV channels, even when walking around the home.
The LED 9000 also includes internet functionality with Samsung’s Internet@TV service offering access to movie download service LOVEFiLM as well as BBC iPlayer, YouTube and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
The TV has full 3D compatibility and includes the option to convert 2D content, including movies and games, into 3D.
Andy Griffiths, Vice President Consumer Electronics, Samsung UK said: “The LED 9000 offers the British public the chance to bring groundbreaking design into their homes, with our slimmest TV yet.”
