Pioneer's new iPod docks

19 mai 2010

Pioneer has revealed five new iPod docks with prices ranging from £199 to £350.

Both the XW-NAC3 (£350) and NXW-NAC1 (£300) come with docking stations for two iPods or iPhones. The idea is that when you select shuffle, they can mix music from both players randomly. Both also come with Bluetooth for wireless playback from mobile phones and use Pioneer’s own Sound Retriever AIR system to help boost the sound quality that would normally be limited by Bluetooth’s compression.

The XW-NAC3 also boasts internet radio through the Vtuner portal, plus USB connectivity, DLNA certification and a three-line LCD display.

The XW-NAV1 (£249) has a built-in CD/DVD drive with 1080p upscaling via HDMI, plus an FM radio, USB connectivity and iPod video/photo playback (via composite connection).

The NAC3 and NAC1 will be available from June, while the XW-NAV1 goes on sale in July.

Two further iPod docks, the wall-mountable XW-NAW1 (£199) and the XW-NAM1 (£350), will follow later in the autumn.
